Shahid Kapoor fulfils dad Pankaj Kapur’s wish, sports turban for family wedding: ‘Dad always says ghar pe shaadi hogi toh…’

As soon as Shahid dropped these pictures, his fans poured in a lot of love for the father-son duo. Celebrity hairstylist Hakim Alim took to his post’s comments section and wrote, “Looking so good ???,” one fan wrote, “It looks really amazing on you anf uncle ??,” another fan inquired if these are their new looks for a movie, “Oye Sardara wow brother, is there any new Sardar ji base movie coming? Love you sir ? ??.” Shahid and Pankaj last shared screen in Jersy last year, they have also featured together in films like Mausam (2011) and Shaandaar (2015).

While Shahid and Pankaj are receiving a lot of love for embracing the traditional look, the two had sported turbans earlier for Shahid’s half sister Sanah Kapur’s wedding. Sanah is Pankaj and Supriya Pathak’s daughter. While Shahid shares a warm relationship with his father, he’d recently opened up about how he had “limited interactions” with him in his growing up days and was “loyal” towards his mother, Neelima Azim, after his parents separated.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Shahid opened up about his equation with his father. He had said, “I’m one of those self-made guys who people think, because his papa was an actor, got it easier. And I get very upset about that, because I’m like, ‘Hey, guys, you don’t know my struggle’. Just because my father is Pankaj Kapur doesn’t mean I had it easy, because actually I didn’t even live with him, I lived with my mom. And he’s also a very proud man, he would never (offer to call someone on my behalf). And I was too proud to ask him for any support ever. In fact, I never even brought it up with him, neither did he ask me. It just never came up.”

On the work front, Shahid was last seen in JioCinemas’ Bloody Daddy earlier this year.
