Ashish Vidyarthi’s wife Rupali Barua says she met his son before wedding: ‘We had a very good conversation’

Actor Ashish Vidyarthi, at the age of 57, tied the knot with Kolkata-based fashion entrepreneur Rupali Barua. Following their wedding, the couple has faced both criticism and support from different quarters.

Talking about the negativity they experienced after the announcement, Rupali said in an interview with Behindwoods TV, “I did not give a damn because I don’t know those people. They have seen something that is very un-obvious, for normal people, because they don’t know about it. It didn’t affect me so much because I didn’t read the comments so much. My close ones are supporting me, I don’t need any other validation.”
Ashish didn’t let negative comments and opinions bother him either. He said that although some might find their decisions unusual, everyone’s life is different.

The actor was previously married to Piloo Vidyarthi and they have a son together-Arth Vidyarthi. Rupali also revealed that she met Arth and said that their meeting was very warm and sweet. She said, “He’s a very sweet boy. We had a very good conversation, nothing serious, just discussing what he is doing. It was just general talk; it was very normal. He’s a very sweet boy, we met very warmly. It was a short but very nice encounter.”

Ashish also said that when he and his former partner made the decision to move on, they included their child in the process. They took a considerable amount of time to process and work through their feelings privately. He said, “Being given this opportunity by the universe is a big thing. Any other thing is small. I know what I have been missing. To find a companion at this age is a blessing.”
