If you are gearing up for your winter wedding, with The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) estimating 35 lakh weddings between November 23 and December 15, 2023, it is time to make a few diet tweaks to look radiant on D-day. While make-up does play its part, it is time to channelise your natural glow with some quintessential diet tweaks.
Nutritionist Kiran Kukreja swears by these five measures.
*Detox water helps to flush out toxins, keeps the body hydrated, and supports overall well-being.*Roasted flax seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and fibre, promoting healthy digestion and contributing to glowing skin*De-bloating tea aids digestion and reduces bloating, helping brides feel more comfortable and confident.*Beetroot juice is a good source of vitamins and minerals, including antioxidants, which can contribute to radiant skin and overall health.*Buttermilk is low in fat, contains probiotics for gut health, and can be a refreshing, hydrating beverage.
Hydration is extremely important for healthy and glowing skin. “Water in any form is helpful,” said Dr Vandana Punjabi, dermatologist and trichologist at Khar, and Nanavati Max Superspeciality Hospital.
Beetroot juice, brimming with antioxidants, contributes to radiant skin, and buttermilk, with its probiotics, nurtures gut health, mentioned Dt. Vidhi Chawla, Fisico Diet and Aesthetic Clinic.
“It’s always advised to chew fruits and vegetables rather than having them in juice form so that we benefit from the rich fibre content in fruits,” mentioned Dr Punjabi.
She also noted that beetroot, apples, and pomegranates are a rich source of iron and give a rosy glow to our skin. “Flax seeds are a rich source of omega 3 and have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits for the skin,” said Dr Punjabi.
