Interestingly, this UAE-based Indian businessman went one step ahead to celebrate his daughter’s wedding. Dilip Popley hosted his daughter’s marriage on a private Jetex Boeing 747. A viral video shows a wedding party aboard a customised private airplane.
The video was uploaded on X, “UAE-based Indian businessman Dilip Popley hosted his daughter’s wedding aboard a private Jetex Boeing 747 aircraft on November 24, in Dubai.” The businessman’s daughter, Vidhi Popley, got married to Hridesh Sainani on November 24. The video begins with the wedding guests including the bride and groom dancing to Tune Maari Entriyaan aboard a plane. A dedicated place for ceremonies is also seen as the video moves on. As the ceremony began aboard the plane, this event was reportedly attended exclusively by immediate family members and many other guests. The wedding ceremony took place aboard a private aircraft, which took a three-hour flight from Dubai to Oman, with 350 distinguished guests flying in from all around the world.
The groom and his family arrived at the Jetex VIP terminal near Al Maktoum Airport in Dubai, where the festivities kicked off as per a report by Khaleej Times. Before boarding, guests were provided light nibbles and beverages. In the video, the groom could be seen expressing gratitude to his father-in-law for organising this event. The bride also joins in, saying she never expected to go through something like this. The groom, Hridesh Sainani, said, “I am very very happy to marry my high-school sweetheart, up in the flight. Thanks to Jetex, thanks to everybody. Thanks to both our parents, both our fathers. We love you.”
As per a report by Khaleej Times, UAE-based Indian businessman Dilip Popley said, “I’ve always dreamt of doing this for my daughter, and there’s no place better than Dubai as it fulfils all the dreams.” Reportedly, this was not the first time the Popleys had done a wedding in an unusual manner. Laxman Popley, Dilip’s father, made news in 1994 when he celebrated his son’s wedding to Sunita on an Air India flight.
