‘Shaadi me paneer nahi khaya to kya khaya?’ is a sentiment deeply ingrained in the psyche of every typical Desi attending an Indian wedding. Well, just as mango reigns supreme among fruits, paneer holds the throne as the king of veg curries in a brown household and the absence of this royal delight at any major public gathering is akin to the profound disappointments life may throw at you. Recently, at a wedding, this culinary crisis unfolded, and the absence of paneer in the feast prompted guests to escalate a mere disappointment into a full-fledged brawl, as captured in a viral video circulating on social media.
In the shared clip, individuals were seen hurling chairs at one another, transforming the solemnity of a wedding function into absolute chaos. According to the video’s caption, the brawl ensued between the guests of the bride and groom, all triggered by the absence of paneer pieces in the ‘matar paneer’ served during the feast. Little did anyone anticipate that the lack of this dairy delight could incite such intense fury, ultimately disrupting the joyous occasion.
However, the online community couldn’t resist injecting a dose of humour into the situation. “World war 3 will fought for Paneer,” quipped one user. Another added a humourous touch, stating, “Kursi Tod ke paneer ke paise vasool rhe hai!” A third user sarcastically exclaimed, “Worth it.”

Meanwhile, the uproar over paneer isn’t an isolated incident in the world of Indian weddings. Earlier, the legendary Fufaji, who possesses an opinion on everything from the menu to decorations, music to gifts, expressed agitation at not finding paneer at a wedding. Yes, you heard it right. This individual, known for assuming an air of superiority beyond comprehension, proved his point at a wedding in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, where a brawl erupted solely because the groom’s Fufaji was deprived of the ‘coveted’ paneer.
Truly, people’s ‘attachment’ to paneer is a phenomenon beyond comparison!
