Tanvir Singh, a building design solutions entrepreneur and son of socialite Leena Singh, recently tied the knot with Mandeep Kaur, a professional make-up artist, in a beachside ceremony in Sri Lanka.
When Leena Singh throws a party, you can expect the who’s who from Bengaluru, Mumbai, and New Delhi to be there. To celebrate their older son Tanvir’s wedding to Mandeep, Leena and her ex-husband Harmeet organised a three-day celebration at the Anantara Kalutara resort in Sri Lanka. Guests including Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and her sister-in-law Catherine Mazumdar, Zarine Khan and daughter Farah Khan, Poonam Dhillon, Laila and Farhan Furniturewalla, Aarti and Kailash Surendranath, among others, joined the festivities held at Anantara and the nearby Avani property. Mandeep’s wardrobe featured designers from New Delhi, including Reynu Taandon, while the groom, Tanvir, wore an outfit by Manoviraj Khosla, who, being a family friend, also attended the wedding. The celebration’s highlights featured a fun poolside carnival with floaties, where guests jumped into the water and rode them, and later, a stylish sangeet in the Avani Ballroom.
DJs Whosane and TT kept everyone dancing day and night, even in the rain. The last day’s event at Avani’s Mangrove restaurant was beautifully set up, and despite heavy rain, everyone continued to dance and party. As the mother of the groom said, humorously, “I don’t think anyone got any sleep.”
