BT learnt that after theirIndian weddingin July last year,Manitand Andria exchanged rings in Greek in December. Manit confirms that the couple had a reception on December 22 and anotherGreek ceremonyon 24th. “As the Indian wedding was important to me, so was the Greek wedding,” Manit shares.“Both our Indian and Greek wedding ceremonies were important for us,” Manit says.
Talking about the white wedding at the Royal Theatre in Greece, he adds, “Indian and Greek families are fundamentally same. Andria also followed all India rituals during our Indian wedding, so did I. There was a lot of food and dancing. Andria being the youngest in the family, this was the last wedding in the family. For me, the most heart touching moment was when our father-in-law made us wear the ring.”For Manit, the biggest surprise was when Andria performed a solo Bollywood dance number. “Everything was a surprise for me, as I didn’t know anything about a Greek wedding. This was my first Greek wedding and I was the groom. My wife wanted to surprise me. Our wedding happened in the royal theatre in Greece. Having a wedding at a theatre was so beautiful as so many great actors have performed there. My wife also surprised me with a Bollywood dance and I surprised her after performing in Zeibekiko. Also, what was interesting is how the family did not keep pork and beef out of respect,” he says.
‘There is a sense of responsibility now’Manit says, “There is a sense of responsibility and calmness in my life now. Shaadi ka matlab ye nahi ki aap hamesha khush rahoge. There are stressful moments, but you know your partner is always there for you. You can handle things together.” The couple is in Spain right now for their honeymoon. “I will return to India on January 10 to complete my work commitments,” he adds.
