Beforehand, trend forecaster Ahaana Khosla and Shehan Minocher, known for their work with African and Eastern influences in Dubai, ditched the conventional lehenga and sherwani route and chose denim ensembles for their wedding. The clothes were designed by Ahaana’s father, Bangaluru-based fashion designer Manoviraj Khosla.

Recently, an Indian wedding ‘baraat’ or groom’s procession also drew inspiration from the silent disco trend, particularly the ‘Breakup song’ from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The wedding guests found themselves in a not-so-typical celebration as headphones were distributed to all attendees, transforming the lively procession into a silent groove fest.
