A groom in Uttar Pradesh did not go to his ‘mandap’ on his wedding day but instead, he reached an exam center, with his ‘baraat’ to appear for the UP Police constable examination. Dressed in his wedding attire and henna on his hands, the groom’s picture is doing rounds on the internet.
The news was shared on the official handle of All India Radio News. The handle shared that the groom stopped his baarat and reached the exam center with his relatives.

“Police personnel also welcomed the candidate groom away from the line. The groom said that a career is more important than marriage. After taking the exam, the groom left directly from the examination center with his baarat. Police forces deployed in the examination center bid farewell to him and blessed him for a bright future ahead,” the caption read.
