Taapsee Pannu weds beau Mathias Boe in a hush-hush wedding at Udaipur

Haseen Dilruba’ is officially off the market! ActressTaapsee Pannutied the knot with her longtime beau, badminton playerMathias Boe. The two had an intimateweddingceremony inUdaipur, Rajasthan on March 23. Although the pair tried to keep everything low-key, nevertheless, photos and videos from the event started doing the rounds on the Internet.

According to a News 18 report, the wedding was attended by family and close friends of the couple which included director Anurag Kashyap (who incidentally directed her 2022 movie ‘Dobaaraa’ and the 2018 romantic comedy ‘Manmarziyaan’ ), writer Kanika Dhillon and her ‘Thappad’ co-star Pavail Gulati. Dhillon had penned Pannu’s OTT debut ‘Haseen Dilruba’. The romantic thriller, which also starred ‘12th Fail’ actor Vikrant Massey, also became one of the most streamed movies on Netflix in 2021.

Taking to Instagram, Gulati shared a photo of the wedding night, in which, he and other guests are seen sitting on stairs, lit up with string lights. His caption had a sly reference to Pannu’s wish to have a private wedding – “Twinkle twinkle little star, we have no idea where we are!”

Gulati was far from the only one to share a sneak peek into the wedding. A few days ago, Dhillon shared some pictures of herself all decked up in a peach pink dress – which some have speculated, is from the event.

According to anIndia Todayreport, the pair had a Sikh-Christian fusion wedding. Pre-wedding preparation started on March 20.

Pannu and Boe met each other in 2013 at the inauguration of the Indian Badminton League. The duo have remained very private about their relationship. Pannu reportedly will hold a reception for her friends and associates from the industry in Mumbai soon.

In a recent interview with Zoom, Pannu said, “I want to get married one day, and whenever I do, you will get to know about it… if I find the right place and moment for it, I will myself talk about it. But there’s this forceful prodding… If I have to announce it, I will do it. Am I doing something wrong? Marriage is a part of our life, it is accepted by everyone. It is not like I am cheating on anyone. It’s not like I’m doing something illegal. So why all this (speculation)?”

On the work front, Pannu was last seen in the Rajkumar Hirani directorial ‘Dunki’, which was headlined by Shah Rukh Khan. She will also be seen in a sequel to ‘Haseen Dilruba’.
