Pics: Actors Aditi Rao Hydari-Siddharth marry in traditional South Indian ceremony

Actors Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth got married in a beautiful South Indian wedding ceremony. The couple shared their wedding photos on the social media platform Instagram. Both the bride and groom chose ethnic outfits as they tied the knot in the presence of their family members and close friends.

It was an intimate wedding that took place at a historical temple. Aditi shared the photos with a beautiful caption that read, “You are my Sun, my Moon, and all my Stars. To being Pixie Soulmates for eternity. to laughter, to never growing up. To Eternal Love, Light & Magic Mrs & Mr Adu-Siddhu (sic).”

The bride wore a stunning tissue organza lehenga featuring a golden Zari work for her big day. She teamed up her lehenga with a matching golden blouse that featured stripes and a hand-embroidered border. Aditi completed her bridal look with gold and ruby traditional gold jewellery, and Gajra in her loosely tied braid. For the groom, it was a simple Kurta with subtle embroidery that he styled with a traditional Veshti bottom.

It further seemed like an early morning ceremony as per the South Indian wedding customs. The sun could be seen shining up in the background in the photos clicked by celebrity photographer Joseph Radhik. Aditi and Siddharth looked their happiest as they posed for the camera.

Aditi-Siddharth’s love story

The couple have been dating for a few years now. They announced their engagement earlier this year and surprised their fans with a quiet wedding on Monday, September 16. In an interview with Vogue, Aditi talked about the moment Siddharth proposed to her for marriage, and just how dreamy it all seemed. She revealed that the actor took her to the place where she grew up with her Nani (maternal grandmother) after knowing how close she was to her.

“He got down on his knee and I asked him, ‘Now what have you lost? Whose shoelaces are open?’ He kept saying, ‘Addu, listen to me’. And then he proposed. He said he wanted to bring me to my favourite childhood place, one with my grandmother’s blessings,” she said.

The two first met each other on the sets of their Telugu film Maha Samudram in 2021. Aditi remembered how Siddharth greeted her and said “hello, beautiful girl”. The actor recalled that she surprisingly didn’t feel awkward, and it felt “genuine”. She further mentioned in the same interview how their equation is so easy that even if they had met as teenagers, they would have fallen in love with each other instantly.

A beautiful love story indeed!
