Indian Weddings is a three-part photographic series inspired by 10th-century miniature paintings, shot on the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Photographer Vansh Virmani and designer Sheehij Kaul used the iPhone’s 48MP Ultra Wide camera and 2x Optical Zoom to take shots.
Both praised the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s Macro photography capabilities and intuitive editing tools.
Vansh Virmani, a fashion photographer, and Sheehij Kaul, a graphic designer, have collaborated to launch Indian Weddings, a new photographic series shot on the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Both of them took inspiration from 10th-century miniature paintings in order to highlight the cultural richness and diversity of Indian wedding traditions. The three-part series depicts a modern take on Indian weddings, capturing both grand and intimate moments from various regions of India.
Interestingly, the entire series was shot and edited on Apple’s flagship iPhone 16 Pro Max. Virmani, as per Apple, appreciated the 48MP Ultra Wide camera and 2x Optical Zoom, which enabled him to capture intricate details and vast scenes with clarity.
Sheehij Kaul calls the iPhone 16 Pro Max a “real revelation,” praising its Macro photography capabilities, high-fidelity cutouts, and intuitive editing tools for allowing her to effortlessly isolate subjects and create stunning compositions. The extensive editing options and ease of use transformed her creative process, allowing her to reach new heights of discovery and enjoyment, as per Apple.

“Shot and edited entirely on iPhone using the 48MP Fusion camera, macro lens, and 2x optical zoom, these vibrant compositions capture the unique traditions, clothing, and decor seen at weddings across different states of the country,” stated Apple on social media.
“I loved the idea of drawing inspiration from traditional miniature paintings from the 10th century and giving them a modern twist to make collages brimming with life,” she added.
