Over the weekend, the City of Lakes bore witness to a wedding that was nothing short of a fairytale. PV Sindhu, undoubtedly one of India’s most celebrated badminton players with two Olympic medals under her belt, married Venkata Datta Sai, an IT entrepreneur, in a celebration that stretched across three days at the Raffles Udaipur. Sprawled across a 21-acre private island in the middle of Udai Sagar Lake, this 101-key property takes inspiration from Rajasthan’s royal heritage, Mughal architecture, and European Palladian design, designed by architect Clive Gray.
