As everyone celebrated, foreign tourists, staying in nearby resorts, stopped to have a look at the amalgamation of cultures, clicked pictures and walked away. And, Josefin from the UK was heard saying, “The thought of celebrating weddings here never struck me. This looks surreal.”
“When foreigners come to get married here, in Goa, they stay for a longer period, and hence, the benefit streams down to all, unlike Indian weddings which normally see guests coming for two or three days,” admits Rafiq who works at a resort.
