Meet Gargi & Rhythm
“We were in the same class at Xavier’s back in 2014 but were never friends in college. After graduation, Rhythm moved to Australia, and I started working as a TV producer in Mumbai. Life went on until, years later, Rhythm was visiting family in Mumbai and matched with me on Tinder! After three dates and months of long-distance chatting, he messaged me and asked me out on New Year’s Eve. I told him he needed to do it in person. That’s when we decided to meet halfway in Bali—he traveled from Australia, and I from Mumbai. He planned five surprise date nights and proposed by the riverside on the fifth one! Eventually, I moved to Melbourne for my post-grad, but Rhythm got a job in Sydney, and that’s how our long-distance relationship continued for four years. After graduating, I managed to get a job in Sydney, and finally, we were in the same city. After 2.5 years of being together in the same city and 6.5 years of dating, Rhythm proposed to me on our hotel balcony by the Eiffel Tower in Paris at midnight, just as the lights flickered in the background—and I said yes!” – shared, the bride

About The Wedding
Our wedding was straight out of our dreams! It was a small, intimate celebration with our closest friends and family. We always envisioned a cozy backyard, European garden-inspired venue, and we found exactly that at Gallops! The smaller venue, surrounded by greenery, with a charming banquet and a separate dining garden area, felt like it was lifted right off our vision board.
We wanted a modern wedding, deeply rooted in traditions. With friends flying in from Finland, Australia, and Dubai, we customized our wedding cards to include explanations of the vows. Rhythm is from Madhya Pradesh, and I’m a true-blue Maharashtrian, so our ceremonies beautifully blended traditions from both cultures.
Since the venue had massive trees as a backdrop, we opted for an open mandap that seamlessly blended with the surroundings. This not only made the venue look more expansive but also added a touch of grandeur to the setup. The venue’s stunning crystal hangings, which light up at night, were another element we wanted to incorporate effortlessly into our mandap design.
I wore red, and Rhythm wore white, so we wanted a floral setup that complemented our outfits while maintaining a sophisticated and classy aesthetic. We chose whites and greens with subtle pops of pink. Guests were requested to wear pink or green pastels, and when I look back at the pictures, everything came together just as we had imagined!
The My Checklist feature kept us on top of our planning, and the vendor list made it so much easier to find the perfect people to bring our wedding vision to life. The app wasn’t just an inspiration board—it gave us the essential tools to turn our dream wedding into reality!
