Meet Devika and Krishi
“We were introduced by his cousin to exchange recommendations for a holiday I was taking with my brother to London (our now home) during Christmas. We got talking, the COVID-19 pandemic got pretty serious and my plans were looking quite uncertain. Nonetheless, while he was back home in Spain to be with his parents for a bit, he eventually decided to get back to London when offices began to open back up and likewise, I decided to book my flights and take the trip. I landed in London, sadly things got shaken up again and the city went into another lockdown. We still hung out and went places but in a very different format! Things got escalated further and then there was a ban on all flights from the UK to India – this made my 10-day trip turn into a not-so-sure about how long I will be here. Krishi then offered for us to stay at his flat, bringing us even closer and actually allowing us to spend time 1 on 1. We fell in love, naturally and entered a long distance relationship when I made it back to India, he would fly down to see me, I even made it back to London the following year for Christmas and then to Spain to meet his family. Just before New Year’s eve, he took me on a surprise holiday to Italy and proposed! And the rest is history….”, the bride tells us.
