Totally In Awe Of This Mom Of The Bride’s Jaw-Dropping Looks!

When the mother of the bride is the creative force behind a wedding as breathtaking as Sama and Zach’s, you just know her own style is going to be next level. And Megha? She didn’t just show up – she owned every single look. From regal elegance to modern glam, Megha served wedding fashion goals at her daughter’s dreamy Udaipur wedding, and we are obsessed.

Meet Megha

Let’s take a moment to appreciate her showstopping ensembles that prove mother-of-the-bride style is anything but basic!

Mehendi – Effortlessly Elegant with a Modern Twist

For the Mehendi, I wanted something playful yet refined, a look that felt light and modern while still embracing traditional elements.

When I saw this pastel-coloured lehenga at Aza★ 3.5 , I was immediately drawn to its delicate embroidery and soothing tones—perfect for a daytime outdoor event. However, I knew I wanted to give it a contemporary touch, so instead of a traditional blouse, I opted for a structured corset top, which added a chic, modern twist to the classic lehenga.

For accessories, I decided to keep it bold but unconventional:

I paired the lehenga with costume jewellery, mixing pieces from different sources to create a unique combination. I chose to add layers of necklaces, stacked brushed gold rings on my fingers, creating a fashion-forward yet understated statement. And my favourite addition – a gold Chanel coin purse, worn around my waist like a belt, giving my look a cool, effortless vibe.

Makeup and hair were soft and fresh, complementing the breezy daytime aesthetic. Loose waves for a relaxed, effortless touch. A fresh, dewy makeup look to enhance my features without looking overdone. Makeup & Hair by Michelle Makeup Levo Spalon

Exchange of Vows – The Ultimate Last-Minute Save

This was the one outfit that truly tested my patience. I had initially bought two dresses for this event, thinking I’d have options. But as the wedding drew closer, I realized I didn’t love either of them. Five days before leaving for Udaipur, I found myself in a full-blown panic.

I rushed back to Dhanmill and I picked up a pretty outfit, but I still wasn’t completely satisfied. Determined, I went to Emporio, tried on a few gowns, and finally found the one – a stunning, sophisticated dress that instantly felt perfect.

However, there was a problem—it needed alterations. With almost no time left, I had to trust the boutique to make the changes overnight. The dress came back one day before we left, but to my horror, the fit was off. I panicked and sent it back, hoping and praying they could fix it in time. Since my sister was flying out a day later, I asked her to bring the final, perfectly altered gown with her – and thankfully, it fit like a dream!

For hair and makeup, I wanted a look that was bold, striking, and effortlessly glamorous:

Dark smokey eyes create depth and drama. Nude lips to balance the intensity and keep the overall look sophisticated. A sleek, snatched low ponytail with Swarovski crystals braided in, adding just the right amount of sparkle. Instead of a necklace, I opted for long diamond earrings, allowing them to be the statement accessory of the night. To add an edgy touch, I wore a ring case accessory—an intricate piece that wrapped around my palm, appearing like individual rings from the gaps of my fingers but held together in a bracelet-like structure. It was a modern take on classic hand jewellery, adding drama and uniqueness to my look.

The final effect? A look that was sophisticated, edgy, and undeniably statement-worthy – perfect for the occasion.

Looking back, this outfit was one of my absolute favourites, and I received endless compliments that night. It may have been a last-minute find, but it turned out to be the perfect choice.

For the after-party, I changed into one of the backup dresses I had originally bought, making it the perfect choice for a fun and comfortable night of dancing

I wore an Amit Aggarwal★ 5 (Emporio) & Kshitij Jalori★ 5 (Dhanmill) – Red outfit for the after-party. Makeup and hair were by Glam Up with Krati.

Haldi – Soft, Feminine, and Floral

The Haldi ceremony had a pastel and floral theme, and I wanted my outfit to reflect that soft, dreamy aesthetic.

I chose a peach lehenga bought from Pernia’s Pop-Up, which had subtle mirror work that made it the perfect choice for the soft daylight and intimate, emotional ceremony.

I wore a traditional pearl-centric jadau necklace from my collection, bought from a jeweller in Jammu years ago, along with matching earrings. I wrapped jasmine flowers around my messy braid, creating a fresh, effortless look. Since it was an outdoor daytime event, I opted for a soft, fresh makeup look that felt natural and glowing. A textured, messy braid, which not only looked stunning but also kept me cool in the Udaipur heat.

Hindu Wedding – A Regal Look Inspired by Old-World Elegance

For the grand Hindu wedding, I wanted to embrace traditional elegance but with a refined, sophisticated touch.

Since all the guests were dressed in shades of white and gold, I chose a gold lehenga with pearl and cut dana embroidery, drawing inspiration from the famous series “Heeramandi”. It felt like something straight out of a vintage royal portrait – luxurious, regal, and timeless.

To enhance the look, I played with layering and draping. I used two dupattas to create dimension. One was a soft, off-white and gold Banarasi dupatta, perfectly tying into the bride’s traditional Banarasi lehenga. The second was a sheer, embroidered gold dupatta, matching my lehenga and gracefully draping over my shoulders.

For my beauty look, I opted for deep, dramatic tones – Dark red lips, adding a bold contrast to the soft gold palette. Gold shimmer eyeshadow with intense kohl, for that quintessential Indian look. Hair pulled back cleanly, adorned with a gold hair accessory and white flowers at the nape of my neck over the tight braid. The look felt deeply traditional yet undeniably regal, making me feel every bit as royal as I had envisioned.

The outfit was custom-designed by a renowned designer, hair and makeup by Glam Up with Krati

Looking back at all my outfits, I realize that each one told a different story – from playful pastels at the Mehendi to last-minute chaos turned perfection at the vows, from the soft floral hues of Haldi to the regal richness of the wedding lehenga.

Even though I was running around ensuring every little detail of the wedding was perfect, these looks made me feel special in my own way. Each one had its own challenges, but in the end, everything came together exactly how it was meant to. And that, I believe, is the magic of weddings!
