RUPALI GANGULY’S DEFAMATION AGAINST STEPDAUGHTER
Actor Rupali Ganguly has issued a legal notice to her stepdaughter, Esha Verma, accusing her of making ‘false and damaging statements’ that allegedly tarnished the Anupamaa actor’s character and personal life. The move was reportedly taken to safeguard her reputation. The notice, which was sent by Ganguly’s lawyer, Sana Raees Khan, also seeks Rs 50 crore in compensation from Verma.

The notice states that Rupali experienced significant mental trauma, prompting her to seek medical help, and alleges she faced humiliation on set and lost professional opportunities as a result. It further mentions that Ganguly initially chose to maintain a ‘dignified silence’ but felt compelled to issue the defamation notice due to the involvement of her and Ashwin Verma’s 11-year-old son in the controversy.
SREEJITA DE’S BENGALI WEDDING
TV actor Sreejita De married her husband, Michael Blohm-Pape, as per Bengali rituals. The couple got married in a Christian ceremony in 2023.

Singer-actor Lady Gaga has been confirmed to appear in Wednesday Season 2, with her role being kept under wraps. According to Variety, her involvement will be a cameo in the highly anticipated second season of the Netflix series, which is currently being filmed in Ireland.

BENGALI POET SLAMS KRUSHNA ABHISHEK
Comedian-actor Krushna Abhishek landed into trouble after his joke on Rabindranath Tagore on the popular show, The Great Indian Kapil Show. Amid his remarks, Bengali poet Srijato Bandyopadhyay expressed his disapproval of the actor-comedian. The poet wrote a note criticising Krushna, accusing him of disrespecting Tagore.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Jheel Mehta, is all set to get married in December. The actor, known for playing the role of Sonu, will be marrying her fiance, Aditya Dube, on December 28. In a recent interview with E-Times, Jheel shared that she has been “dreaming about this day for so long.”
Jheel mentioned that while the wedding would be an intimate ceremony, she plans to call her Taarak Mehta… co-stars to the reception. The couple got engaged in January. In March, Jheel also shared pictures from their roka ceremony.
