These surprises range from light-hearted incidents to emotional moments. And, sometimes these moments even leads to disruptions.

A wedding celebration in Dholpur, Rajasthan, took a similar unexpected turn when the bride refused to leave with groom to her In-laws. According to the sources, Deepika, daughter of Girish Kumar from Dholpur’s Housing Board Colony, was set to marry Pradeep, a resident of Kalyani Village in Karauli district.

The wedding ceremony was a grand affair, with festivities, rituals going on throughout the night.

However, during the farewell ceremony or ‘Bidaai’, the bride refused to leave with the groom. On questioning, she revealed that groom’s hands were shaking while he was applying sindoor (vermilion) on her forehead, leading to her belief that he might be suffering from a serious illness.

Pradeep tried to ease her fear and assured her that his hands were trembling due to cold weather and nothing else. He emphasised the fact that they’ve met several times before the marriage without raising any concerns. However, Deepika remained unconvinced and stood firm in her decision.

This incident raised serious concerns and finally police was called to intervene. Despite their attempts no resolution could be reached. Ultimately, the groom’s family had to return without the bride.
