'Siya-Ram' Inspired Wedding: Bride Wore Bejewelled Choli On Sangeet, Groom Shoots Arrow To Marry Her

Weddings in India are an amalgamation of age-old rituals, trends and divine blessings. In India, marriages are not just hosted, they are celebrated with festivities that last up to 3-5 days. As lord Ram is back to Ayodhya, people are not only seeking their blessings at Ram Mandir, but some are even following his path and getting married. Yes, we stumbled upon a wedding that celebrated ‘Siya-Ram’, and it seems that a similar vibe was when Lord Ram married Sita Mata in Mithila.

Bride wore Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s traditional red lehenga for her Siya-Ram-inspired wedding

The bride, Vibhuti wore Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s lehenga for her wedding day. The red lehenga with golden zardosi work on the hem and butti-work choli made her look just on point. She styled her outfit with double dupattas. One with kiran border was pinned over hed head, while the other one was secured over her shoulder.

Talking about her jewellery, she wore emerald necklaces, matching earrings, and a maang teeka, which added a pop of green to her look. Subtle makeup with soft brown-toned sparkly eyes and mauve lipstick completed her look. Talking about her groom, he was dressed up in an intricate work sherwani with silver sehra that made him look like Lord Ram.

Groom shoots an arrow before marrying his bride, like Lord Ram

Talking about the wedding deets, it was a wedding that was an ode to Siya-Ram. The groom was welcome to the venue like a prince when the curtains were opened. It had Siya-Ram-inspired pillars. The ladkiwale welcomed him with puja ki thali. Later, he was seen shooting an arrow like Lord Ram did during Sita Mata’s swayamvar, followed by pretty firecrackers. The moment the couple exchanged varmalas, the sky was lit up with a series of firecrackers.

Bride wore Taun Tahiliani’s bejewelled pastel pink lehenga for hers sangeet ceremony

For the sangeet ceremony, the bride chose Tarun Tahiliani’s bespoke pastel pink-hued lehenga. However, the highlight of her entire lehenga was her choli, which was bejewelled with precious stones. The solid sheer detailing on the neck was accentuated with yellow sapphires, pearls and other precious stones. It had half-sleeve detailing, which was decked up with pretty stones, adding the awe factor to her look.

The bride styled her lehenga’s dupatta as a cape and was pinned over her shoulders. It was her emerald choker neckpiece, which was layered with another two necklaces, a diamond-studded nath, and a matching kamarbandh that completed her look. She dolled up herself in peach blush, soft sparkly purple eyes with mascara-laden eyes and glossy pink-toned lipstick.

We totally loved the bride’s ‘Siya-Ram’ inspired Indian wedding, which had beautiful details that paid an ode to Lord Ram and his courage.
