Chris Evans confirms marriage with Alba Baptista: ‘We had two ceremonies’

After days of widespread reports about their marriage, Hollywood actor Chris Evans has finally confirmed his marriage with Portuguese actor Alba Baptista. During an appearance at New York City Comic Con on Saturday, Chris disclosed that they had two wedding ceremonies.
During a panel discussion with his fans at the event, Chris shared, “I got married. It was really, really great. We kinda had two ceremonies. We had one on the East Coast. We did one in Portugal. My wife’s Portuguese. Yeah, go Portugal!.”

He added, “They were wonderful and beautiful. It’s a lot planning a wedding. For those of you who are married, it takes a lot out of you. Now that we’re through that, we’ve just kinda been enjoying life, gearing up for autumn, my favourite season. It’s, like, the best time of year right now. Now we’re just relaxing and enjoying life and reflecting.”
The couple’s romantic journey began with dating rumours in 2021 when fans noticed that Alba was following Chris and several of his family members on Instagram. While the exact circumstances of their meeting remained unconfirmed, there was speculation that it might have happened when Chris was filming The Gray Man and Alba was working on the second season of Warrior Nun.

Even though they weren’t spotted together frequently, a curious Instagram post by Chris in October 2022 fueled speculations. This post featured pumpkins, and intriguingly, Alba’s mother, Elsa Baptista, had used pumpkin photos as her profile picture a few weeks prior. In January of this year, Chris and Alba officially shared their relationship with the world on Instagram through a playful video compilation where they pranked each other.
