Thai tycoon and IOC member among guests at lavish Indian wedding

Among 5,000 VIP-studded guests from around the world, Thai business tycoon Dr Somsak Leeswadtrakul and Khunying Patama Somsak Leeswadtrakul, a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), were invited to attend the recent extravagant wedding ceremony for the son of Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani.

The four-day extravaganza saw Anant Ambani, 29—the youngest son of Asia’s richest person, Mukesh Ambani—marry his long-time girlfriend, Radhika Merchant, 29, on Friday, followed by three days of receptions in Mumbai, India.

The ceremony included a blessing ceremony during which the world’s rich and famous greeted the couple at the wedding venue, a 16,000-capacity convention centre owned by the Ambani family’s conglomerate.

The spectacular event highlighted the Ambani family’s influence and connections, bringing together global elites to celebrate in opulent style.
