Bride’s father cancels marriage over groom’s performance on THIS song

Indian weddings are incomplete without Bollywood dance numbers—chachis, mamas, kids, and everyone joins in, celebrating with full enthusiasm. Many of these songs, however, carry meanings that aren’t exactly family-friendly, yet we often overlook their suggestive undertones in the spirit of enjoyment.
This ignorance, however, proved costly for a groom in Delhi, whose wedding was abruptly called off when he performedCholi Ke Peeche Kya Haiduring the celebrations. The bride’s father found the choice of song inappropriate and disrespectful, leading to a dramatic cancellation of the marriage.

The groom arrived at the wedding venue with his baraat, surrounded by joyous friends and family. As the festivities escalated, his friends urged him to take the dance floor. The moment a popular Bollywood track began playing, he eagerly joined in, entertaining some guests with his enthusiastic moves.
However, what was supposed to be a joyous moment soon turned sour when the bride’s father intervened and immediately called off the wedding. The father was outraged by the song selection and said that they were against hisfamily values. The groom desperately tried to convince her father, insisting that the dance was meant for good fun. However, his explanations did little to change the father’s mind. Standing his ground, he refused to proceed with the wedding and, according to reports, even barred any further contact between his daughter and the groom’s family.

The incident soon spread through social media like wildfire and received a lot of reactions. “Father-in-law made the right decision; otherwise, he would have had to watch this dance every day.” Another said, “Arranged marriage is a battlefield, and the bride’s father just won the war”. A third user said, “Uncle ji deserves the ” Father of the year award ” for what he did with the groom”
Weddings being called off for bizarre reasons are not uncommon. In December last year, a wedding in Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh, took an unexpected twist when the groom walked out simply because the food was served late. What followed was even more shocking—he went on to marry his cousin the very same day. The bride’s family, left stunned by the abrupt cancellation, filed a police complaint, citing a financial loss of Rs 7 lakh due to the disrupted arrangements.
