The digital entertainment industry welcomed a new player as Oceaniek Stream, an OTT platform by Oceaniek International, was officially launched in a star-studded event at Hyatt Regency, Chandigarh. The grand unveiling of the platform’s logo was accompanied by the premiere of its much-anticipated original series, Wedding India—a show dedicated to capturing the essence of Indian wedding traditions and cultural richness.

Bringing together prominent figures from both Bollywood and Pollywood, the event celebrated not only the launch of Oceaniek Stream but also its commitment to redefining OTT content. Unlike many platforms that have drawn criticism for controversial and offensive material, Oceaniek Stream aims to offer curated, family-friendly infotainment that resonates with audiences of all age groups.

Speaking at the launch, Jaspreet Preeti Shahid, Producer of Wedding India, highlighted the platform’s distinctive approach. “Oceaniek Stream is a game-changer in the OTT space, offering a diverse content lineup spanning Bollywood, Hollywood, Korean, Japanese, and more. With streaming available across 48 countries, our focus is on providing viewers with a seamless and engaging experience that merges entertainment with cultural appreciation,” she said.

She further emphasized the platform’s stand against problematic trends in digital content. “In recent times, the OTT industry has been plagued by inappropriate humor and unfiltered content. We aim to change that narrative by bringing in refreshing, family-oriented infotainment that people can enjoy together,” Preeti added.

Adding to the excitement, Rohit Kumar, Director of Show, shared insights about their flagship show. “Wedding India is more than just a series—it’s a tribute to the vibrant and diverse wedding traditions across India. From intricate customs to heartwarming family moments, our show will take viewers on a journey across different states, showcasing the grandeur and emotional depth of Indian weddings,” he explained.

The show will cover wedding traditions from all 29 states of India, with six episodes dedicated to each region, making a total of 150 episodes.

Actor and anchor of Wedding India, Jimmy Sharma, revealed a major differentiator of Oceaniek Stream. “Unlike conventional OTT platforms, we offer an exclusive feature where users can post reels or YouTube Shorts, which will be monetized directly in their accounts. This opens up new earning avenues for content creators,” he said.

Additionally, Oceaniek Stream is not just about entertainment—it’s about fostering innovation. Rohit Kumar announced Invest Oceaniek, an initiative that allows budding entrepreneurs to pitch business ideas. If selected, Oceaniek’s team will provide financial backing to help turn their concepts into reality.

With the premiere of Wedding India captivating audiences at the launch event, the message was clear—Oceaniek Stream is here to make an impact, offering both high-quality entertainment and investment opportunities.

“We’re not just another OTT platform—we are here to add value to the industry and empower creators. Oceaniek Stream is built for those who want to share their stories, ideas, and talents with the world,” Rohit Kumar concluded.

With a fresh perspective and a vision for growth, Oceaniek Stream is set to carve its niche in the ever-evolving world of digital entertainment.
